36th HETSA Conference, 16-18 July 2025, Perth

The 36th Annual Conference of the History of Economic Thought Society of Australia (HETSA) will be held at the Business School of the University of Western Australia (UWA) from 16-18 July 2025. HETSA 2025 will be hosted jointly by the UWA Economic History and History of Economic Thought (EHHET) Network and the University of Notre Dame Australia (UNDA).

We now call for papers relating to any aspect of the history of economic thought broadly considered. Contributions are especially welcome from students and junior academics. We are also very open to contributions from scholars whose primary discipline is not the history of economic thought (such as history of science, history of philosophy, and history of political ideas) whose work is relevant to issues in our field.

All abstracts and proposals for sessions should be submitted via email to David Gilchrist (This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.) or Riko Stevens (This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.) by 30 May 2025, with rolling decisions on papers to be made from 1 May 2025. Full papers for distribution to conference participants will be required by 30 June 2025.

The conference dinner will be on the evening of Thursday 17 July and there will be a pre-conference reception on the evening of Wednesday 16 July.

More information about the conference will be made available shortly via the HETSA website. Please feel free to contact us in the meantime should you have any queries.
